The Google Pixel 9a is expected to launch in the coming months, and its design has already been confirmed through a series of rendered images. Today, we received further confirmation as real-life photos of the device surfaced on social media, revealing the phone’s design.
The back panel will follow the 2024 trend for Google Pixels, featuring an oval camera island with the lenses protruding. This minimalist design ensures the focus remains on the device’s camera capabilities while maintaining a sleek, modern aesthetic.
Under the hood, Google will equip the Pixel 9a with the new Tensor G4 chipset, paired with 8 GB of RAM. With this upgrade in processing power, the Pixel 9a will also have a 5,000 mAh battery, but the charging speed will remain relatively slow at 18W wired charging.
According to a few other renders, it reveals that the main camera will have a 48 MP Sony IMX787 sensor, which is identical to the sensor found in the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Additionally, the phone will include a 13 MP ultrawide camera, providing versatility in capturing wider shots. For selfies, the Pixel 9a will sport a 13 MP front-facing camera inside a punch-hole cutout, ensuring high-quality self-portraits.
As we await the official announcement, these leaks confirm that the Pixel 9a will offer solid specifications while staying true to the design language of Google’s upcoming smartphones.
