Man Uses Provincial Minister’s Name in Multi Million Rupees Fraud

A significant fraud has surfaced in Lahore, where an individual allegedly used the name of the provincial information minister to defraud people and embezzle Rs 1.4 million.

An FIR has been filed under sections 408, 504, and 506 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), based on a complaint filed by an official of the provincial information ministry.

Burhan Asif reportedly misused the provincial minister’s name to deceive others into handing over large sums of money. He managed to embezzle Rs 3.5 million, including Rs 1.4 million obtained under the pretense of the minister’s involvement.

Burhan claimed to have connections within the minister’s office, leveraging this supposed influence to manipulate his victims. His fraudulent actions have significantly damaged the reputation of the Ministry of Information.

The police have initiated legal proceedings, and efforts are underway to arrest the suspect and bring him to justice.
