General Syed Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff, has launched the “Madawa” Grief Counseling Cell to offer dedicated support to the families of fallen soldiers. This initiative aims to provide comprehensive assistance, combining psychological care and logistical support.
The Madawa Cell features specialized teams of army officers and psychologists, trained to offer immediate help to grieving families.
The program includes several key services:
- Personal visits to the homes of martyred soldiers’ families.
- In-depth psychological evaluations for family members.
- Documentation of each family’s economic, social, and educational needs.
- Assistance in navigating military benefits and support services.
- Continuous mental health support and counseling.
These teams work closely with families, identifying those who require additional mental health care. They also guide families in accessing available military benefits to ensure they receive full support during their difficult times.
The initiative is designed to provide comprehensive, long-term care to the families of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the country.
