A harsh cold wave has swept across Pakistan and Indian-administered Kashmir, with temperatures dropping significantly in many areas. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the coldest temperature was recorded in Leh at a bone-chilling -13°C.
Skardu and Astore followed closely, registering -11°C, while Gupis and Bagrot experienced -7°C. Other notable low temperatures included -6°C in Hunza and Gilgit, and -5°C in Quetta, Kalam, and Qalat.
In urban centres, Islamabad recorded a minimum temperature of 0°C, while Lahore saw a relatively milder 5°C.
