OnePlus is gearing up to launch the Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro on December 26, 2024, in China. These models will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8 Elite chipsets, respectively. Rumors suggest that the brand will expand its lineup next year with additional models, including the Ace 5 Mini, Ace 5V, and possibly the Ace 5s and Ace 5s Pro, alongside these flagship devices. However, a new leak from Digital Chat Station (DCS) hints at a Dimensity 9-series-powered Ace 5 phone, expected to debut in April 2025.
Leaked Specifications for Ace 5 Mini and Ace 5s
According to earlier leaks, the OnePlus Ace 5 Mini will launch in Q2 2025 as a compact flagship. The smartphone is expected to feature a 6.31-inch display, a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and a 50MP Sony IMX906 primary camera. Meanwhile, rumors suggest that MediaTek’s Dimensity 9-series chip will power the alleged Ace 5s, which will compete with upcoming models like the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro, and iQOO Z10 Turbo. It remains unclear whether the Ace 5s will use the Dimensity 9300, 9400, or a newer chipset like the Dimensity 9400+.
The current engineering prototype of the Ace 5s reportedly includes a 1.5K flat OLED display with a short-focus in-screen fingerprint scanner. Other notable features include a plastic middle frame, a 0809 vibration motor for better haptics, and a substantial 7,000mAh battery. These specifications suggest the device will focus on delivering flagship performance and enhanced durability.
Ace 5V Rumors
The OnePlus Ace 5V, expected to be an upper mid-range model, could replace its predecessor, the Ace 3V, which used the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset. While details are scarce, this model may target users seeking performance at a more affordable price point.
Moreover, with multiple devices in development, OnePlus appears poised to strengthen its Ace lineup, catering to a range of consumer needs across flagship and mid-range segments.
