Pakistani Scientist Honored With Sheikh Zayed International Award

Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Chaudhry, a distinguished Pakistani scientist, has been awarded the Sheikh Zayed International Traditional, Complementary, and Alternative Medicine (TCAM) Award for his groundbreaking work in herbal medicine and outstanding contributions to academia.

The announcement was made through a press release issued by COMSTECH. The award ceremony, at the Hotel Beach Rotana in Abu Dhabi, celebrated Dr. Chaudhry’s pivotal role in advancing traditional medicine and fostering its integration with modern healthcare systems.

The award highlights the global recognition of traditional medicine’s growing relevance in contemporary healthcare practices. Dr. Chaudhry’s achievements span numerous accolades, including Pakistan’s highest civilian honors such as the Hilal-I-Imtiaz, Sitara-I-Imtiaz, and Tamgha-I-Imtiaz.

His international acclaim includes prestigious awards like the Friendship Award and the Golden Silkball Friendship Award from China. In addition to his contributions to herbal medicine, Dr. Chaudhry serves as Vice President of the World Academy of Sciences for Central and South Asia and holds fellowships with esteemed scientific organizations, including the Royal Society of Chemistry in London.

In a significant gesture of recognition, Hunan University of Medicine in China has named its newly established research building after Dr. Chaudhry, underscoring his influence on global healthcare innovation and academic excellence.
