PIBTL Resumes Operations After Last Month’s Fire Incident

The Pakistan International Bulk Terminal (PSX: PIBTL) has successfully resumed operations following last month’s fire incident. 

“Operations at PIBT Terminal have successfully resumed to their customary form and speed, effective December 16, 2024. This follows the fire incident that occurred on November 19, 2024, which temporarily curtailed PIBT’s ability to efficiently discharge cargo for its esteemed customers,” PIBTL said in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Monday. 

In an earlier notice, PIBTL had informed that a fire incident occurred at PIBT Terminal while a cargo of coal was being discharged which has caused considerable damage to the portion of terminal infrastructure.
