Rawalpindi Board to Install CCTV Cameras in Exam Centers

To enhance transparency and integrity in the 2025 Matriculation and Intermediate examinations, the Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) is installing CCTV security cameras in all examination centers.

The initiative also includes improvements to the paper marking process for annual, supplementary, and practical examinations. Board Chairman Adnan Khan has instructed officials to submit details of CCTV cameras already installed in examination halls of government schools and colleges across the Rawalpindi Division.

For institutions lacking surveillance systems, cameras will be installed immediately. Additionally, private schools will no longer serve as examination centers starting next year.

Under the new system, examination papers will be opened and distributed in the presence of students under CCTV camera monitoring, ensuring fairness and transparency during the exams.

To facilitate the process, information on installed cameras has been gathered from directors of colleges, deputy directors, and district education authorities. The board aims to ensure strict surveillance in all centers to prevent malpractice and maintain exam integrity.
