PIA Flight Forced Back to Karachi After Technical Issue

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-300 heading from Karachi to Islamabad was forced to make an emergency return shortly after departure due to a technical issue, according to a statement from the airline.

The incident occurred when the aircraft’s landing gear failed to retract after takeoff, prompting the crew to take immediate precautionary measures. The flight safely returned to Jinnah International Airport just 25 minutes after leaving the runway, ensuring the safety of everyone on board.

Among the passengers on the flight was PIA CEO Khurram Mushtaq, who experienced the incident firsthand.

A PIA spokesperson emphasized the airline’s commitment to passenger safety, stating, “Our top priority is the safety and well-being of everyone on board. We are currently replacing the aircraft and arranging an alternative flight to ensure passengers reach their destination without further inconvenience.”

Passengers are currently at Jinnah International Airport, waiting for updates on their onward journey. The airline has assured that all necessary measures are being taken to minimize disruptions and provide a safe travel experience.
