The Cabinet Division has released the Toshakhana record for April to June 2026 which showed that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar were among senior government officials who received diplomatic gifts during the period.
Among the gifts presented to Prime Minister Shehbaz was a model of China’s space station, along with a cup, wristwatch, shield, sugar bowl, premium pen, model of Masjid-e-Nabawi, and a necktie.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar received a Chinese leather belt, a model of an Egyptian statue, and a pair of cufflinks, according to the official record.
According to the record, 21 gifts were received by high-ranking government officials between March and June 2026. All gifts received by the prime minister and deputy prime minister have been deposited in the Toshakhana, while their values are currently being assessed by the Cabinet Division.
The Cabinet Division said the valuation process for the gifts received by both leaders is underway. The assessment will determine whether the recipients may retain any items under the applicable Toshakhana rules after paying the prescribed amount, or whether the gifts will remain in the Toshakhana collection.
