Special Traffic Plan Announced for December 25 Celebrations in Rawalpindi

The City Traffic Police (CTP) Rawalpindi has implemented a special traffic plan for Christmas and Quaid-e-Azam celebrations to ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety. Recognizing the importance of these events for the Christian community and the nation, CTP has made extensive arrangements for the convenience of all citizens.

139 officers and personnel, including four DSPs, have been deployed for midnight duties and anti-one-wheeling operations on December 24 and 25. Additionally, 297 traffic police personnel will be on duty during the daytime, including 12 Circle Officers, 52 senior traffic wardens, 168 traffic wardens, and 65 traffic assistants. All personnel have been given clear instructions regarding their responsibilities by Chief Traffic Officer Benish Fatima.

Over 50 personnel have been assigned special duties at key locations such as churches, parks, and other significant venues to prevent traffic disruptions during the celebrations. They will ensure traffic flow, guide pedestrians, and assist in emergencies, maintaining safety and order throughout the events.

The CTP has urged the public to follow traffic rules, cooperate with the deployed personnel, and adhere to their instructions. Motorists are advised to plan routes ahead of time and avoid parking within 100 meters of any event venue, while pedestrians are encouraged to use designated crosswalks and follow traffic signals to ensure safety.

The traffic plan, set to be fully enforced on December 25, highlights the CTP’s commitment to citizen safety and convenience. This comprehensive strategy aims to ensure smooth traffic and orderly celebrations through proactive planning and public cooperation.
