Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi Note 14 and 14 LTE globally, one month after the phone’s Indian debut. While the Redmi Note 14 5G retains many features from its regional versions, it introduces significant improvements in the camera department. Alongside, the new LTE-only variant comes with notable differences in performance, design, and camera setup.
Design and Display
Both the Redmi Note 14 5G and LTE models share a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals. The 5G variant offers a peak brightness of 2,100 nits, protected by Gorilla Glass 5, while the LTE version achieves 1,800 nits and retains Gorilla Glass protection.
Xiaomi upgraded the IP rating of the 5G variant to IP64, offering better dust and water resistance compared to its predecessor. The LTE version has IP54 certification, providing basic splash protection.
Color options for the 5G include Black, Purple, and Coral Green, while the LTE variant comes in Black, Purple, Blue, and Lime Green as shown below.
Internals and Software
The Redmi Note 14 5G is powered by the Dimensity 7025 Ultra chipset, offering reliable performance, though details on improvements over the standard 7025 remain unclear. It likely has overclocked CPU cores compared to the original.
It runs HyperOS on top of Android 14, bringing features like AI Erase, AI Sky, and AI Beautify, alongside the pre-installed Gemini app for generative AI tools.
In contrast, the LTE variant uses the Helio G99 chipset, a less powerful option for budget-conscious buyers. While it also runs HyperOS on Android 14, it includes fewer AI capabilities.
Camera
The Redmi Note 14 5G shines in the camera department with a 108 MP primary sensor with OIS, an 8 MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2 MP macro shooter. The LTE model retains the same 108 MP main camera but lacks OIS and the ultra-wide lens, substituting it with a 2 MP depth sensor and a 2 MP macro lens.
Both models feature a punch-hole design housing a 20 MP front camera.

Battery and Pricing
The Redmi Note 14 5G comes with a 5,110 mAh battery and supports 45W wired charging. Xiaomi includes a 45W PD charger in the box, except in the EU. The LTE variant features a larger 5,500 mAh battery with 33W wired charging, providing longer battery life at the cost of slower charging speeds.
The Redmi Note 14 5G offers memory options of 6/128 GB, 8/256 GB, and 12/512 GB, while the LTE version comes in 6/128 GB, 8/128 GB, and 8/256 GB configurations. Pricing for the LTE model starts at €200/£180, with mid-tier variants priced at €230/£230. Prices for the 5G model will vary by region and are yet to be announced.
