The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has announced that the New Gwadar International Airport will become operational starting January 20.
According to CAA sources, a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) has been issued regarding the operationalization of the New Gwadar International Airport. As per the notification, the airport will be ready to handle flights from January 20 onward.
The CAA has officially informed all airlines through the issued NOTAM, marking the first formal written announcement regarding the airport.
Initially, the national carrier, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), will commence flights to operationalize the New Gwadar International Airport. Both domestic and international airlines have also shown interest in operating flights to and from the new facility.
