A Punjab Food Authority (PFA) team intercepted multiple milk supply vehicles early Saturday at various locations, including the Motorway, GT Road, and Koral Chowk in Islamabad, and seized 12,500 liters of adulterated milk, according to a report by 24NewsHD TV.
As part of an ongoing crackdown on adulteration, PFA teams set up checkposts at several points in Rawalpindi, inspecting around 30 vehicles and confiscating the adulterated milk. The seized milk was later disposed of by the PFA team.
Additionally, fines totaling Rs. 364,000 were imposed on individuals involved in supplying adulterated milk.
A PFA spokesperson stated that daily inspections of milk supply vehicles are being conducted as part of their operations. He emphasized that the Punjab Food Authority maintains a zero-tolerance policy against adulteration, warning that anyone found involved in such practices will face strict action.
