Punjab Approves Financial Assistance Package for Families of Martyred Police Officers

The Punjab government has approved a compensation package for police martyrs, which includes grants and housing for the families of 11 police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty.

A meeting chaired by Punjab Law Minister Malik Suhaib Ahmed Bhatti was held at the Home Department, with attendees including Special Secretary Home Fazal Rehman, Additional IG Imran Arshad, DIG Special Branch Syed Khurram Ali, DIG Welfare Ghazi Salahuddin, Additional Secretary Home Dr. Zeeshan Hanif, and other relevant officials.

During the meeting, a grant package was approved for the families of the following police martyrs:

  • ASI Nazir Ahmed
  • ASI Muhammad Nawaz
  • Constables Arshad, Zia Akhtar, Muhammad Khalil, Abid Ali, Muhammad Ehsan, and Muhammad Mubashir Bilal
  • Inspector Muhammad Afzal
  • Constables Muhammad Sohail and Syed Tahir Raza

Details of the Compensation Package

Under the “Police Martyrs Package II,” the following financial support will be provided:

  • Constables’ Families: A grant of PKR 4 million and PKR 18.9 million for housing.
  • ASI Families: A grant of PKR 5 million and PKR 24.5 million for housing.
  • Inspector Families: A grant of PKR 6 million and PKR 35 million for housing.

Punjab Law Minister Malik Suhaib Ahmed Bhatti emphasized the government’s commitment to honoring the sacrifices of martyrs and ensuring their families receive every possible facility.
