Pakistan Air Force Ranked 7th Most Powerful in The World

A recent report by GlobalFirepower.com has ranked the world’s most powerful air force, with Pakistan securing the seventh position.

The ranking is based on aircraft inventories, including fighter jets, helicopters, and support planes. Pakistan’s air force operates 1,434 aircraft, showcasing its significant capabilities in the region.

The United States topped the list with an unmatched fleet of 5,737 helicopters, 1,854 fighter jets, and 3,722 support aircraft, supported by an $800 billion annual defense budget.

Russia and China followed in second and third places, respectively. Russia, despite having one-third of the U.S.’s air power, has faced setbacks, losing 220 aircraft since the Ukraine war began in 2022.

China, meanwhile, has been rapidly modernizing its air force, adding advanced technologies like sixth-generation fighter jets and supersonic aircraft.

India ranked fourth with 2,296 aircraft, while South Korea and Japan took fifth and sixth places with 1,576 and 1,459 aircraft, respectively. Pakistan’s seventh-place ranking highlights its strategic importance in South Asia, maintaining a robust air force despite regional challenges. Egypt, Turkey, and France rounded out the top ten.
