The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has approached the UAE to extradite property tycoon Malik Riaz and his son Ali Malik under international anti-money laundering laws and the Vienna Convention.
The agency has dismissed claims that Malik Riaz was not accused of corruption in the decision of the UK’s Royal Court of Justice on the Al Qadir Trust case. As per UK law, the two were allegedly involved in corruption and financial misconduct linked to Bahria Town, reported a news daily.
The UK Home Office had revoked their visas after reviewing the National Crime Agency’s 2019 settlement with Riaz, Supreme Court judgments in Bahria Town cases, a JIT report on illicit transactions, and a NAB reference filed in April 2019.
Earlier this month, NAB issued a statement confirming its decision to extradite Riaz and warned investors against his UAE-based enterprise called Bahria Town Dubai.
The property magnate, who launched a $20 billion real estate venture in Dubai in 2018, is currently believed to be residing there to allegedly evade legal action in Pakistan.

Indian government is facilitating its billionaires in Dubai and Pakistani establishment is hounding Malil Riaz. I have nothing to do with PTI, but these actions of NAB are politically motivated.
The main aim of establishment is to take over Bahria towns across Pakistan and hand it over to DHA. This is project DHA takeover.
