Notice Issued to FPSC in Case Seeking to Stop CSS Exam

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday issued notices to the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) regarding a petition seeking to halt the Central Superior Services (CSS) exam until the previous year’s results were released. The court requested relevant records from the Commission and adjourned the hearing until tomorrow.

Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani of the IHC presided over the case, which was filed by petitioner Hamza Javed and others. The petitioners argued that they had appeared in the CSS exam in February 2024, but the FPSC had yet to announce the results.

They further stated that despite the delay, the Commission had scheduled a new exam without releasing the previous year’s results. According to them, FPSC typically announces results within eight months, but this time, 11 months had passed without any update.

The petitioners urged the court to prevent the Commission from conducting the new exam until the pending results are declared.
