In Karachi, the superintendent of a government girls’ degree college consumed poison after fleeing with millions in student fees. He is currently in critical condition and receiving treatment at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
According to the police, the suspect has been placed in the ICU, and further investigation will be conducted once he recovers.
Police sources revealed that the suspect had collected over Rs. 910,000 in student fees before disappearing. However, to prevent academic disruption, the college principal personally covered the fees and ensured that admit cards were issued to the students.
The suspect remains under protective custody at the hospital, with a police team stationed there. Authorities have confirmed that legal action will proceed once he recovers.
