More Beggars Stopped From Going to Saudi Arabia

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration has apprehended 10 individuals at Karachi Airport for allegedly engaging in begging in Saudi Arabia under the pretense of performing Umrah, as reported by ARY News.

According to details, the arrested individuals—Shah Nawaz, Afsar Ali, Mujtahid Hussain, Muhammad Adil, Rahib Ali, Zamir Hussain, Wasid, Sheraz Khan, Mubeen Ali Solangi, and Khuda Bukhsh—were deported from Saudi Arabia due to their involvement in begging.

An FIA spokesperson stated that the individuals belonged to various cities across Pakistan, including Rajanpur, Kashmore, Naushahro Feroze, Lahore, Peshawar, Mohmand, and Larkana.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects had traveled to Saudi Arabia on Umrah visas and had been engaged in begging for several months before their deportation. The arrested individuals have now been handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle for further legal proceedings.

In a similar incident earlier, FIA Immigration at Karachi Airport intercepted three women attempting to travel to Saudi Arabia under the guise of Umrah pilgrims.

During the inspection, FIA officials discovered that the women lacked return tickets and hotel reservations. Authorities further revealed that they had been previously offloaded at Lahore Airport as well.
