The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, in collaboration with UNESCO, is set to launch a groundbreaking initiative to introduce smart classrooms in 40 girls’ schools across Gilgit-Baltistan.
According to officials, the initiative aims to enhance the quality of education and create a more engaging learning experience for students. In the first phase, five districts—Nagar, Ghizer, Shigar, Diamer, and Kharmang—have been selected as part of the government’s efforts to promote education and digital literacy, particularly among girls in remote areas.
Officials highlighted that smart classrooms will provide students with access to digital resources, interactive learning tools, and an immersive educational environment. They believe the project has the potential to revolutionize education in the region and empower young girls to become active participants in the digital economy.
Meanwhile, Nausheen Barkat, the first female CEO of Bee Company from Hunza, delivered an inspiring lecture on entrepreneurship at Islamabad College for Girls (F-6/2).
Known for her exponential financial success through strategic proposals in various Shark Tank competitions, Barkat shared valuable insights on building a self-sustainable future through entrepreneurial thinking and innovation. She also praised the education ministry’s initiatives, recognizing their transformative role in shaping students’ futures.
