A shocking case of child abuse has surfaced in Lahore, where a babysitter was caught on CCTV mistreating and attempting to strangle a 3-month-old infant, as reported by ARY News on Tuesday.
The disturbing incident reportedly stemmed from the nanny’s frustration after being reprimanded by the child’s parents. She repeatedly took out her anger on the three-month-old baby, hitting him whenever he cried.
In a particularly horrifying moment, she attempted to suffocate the child by covering his mouth with a cloth.
The parents became aware of the abuse only after noticing a decline in their baby’s health. Upon reviewing their home surveillance footage, they were horrified to discover the cruel treatment inflicted by the nanny.
Realizing she had been exposed, the babysitter fled the house, allegedly stealing gold jewelry and cash before escaping.
Local authorities at the Shumali Chhauni Police Station have filed an FIR against the suspect and initiated a search operation to locate her.
