Lahore’s Traffic Police have put in place a detailed traffic management plan to ensure a smooth flow of vehicles during the upcoming tri-nation cricket series.
More than 1,000 traffic officers will be stationed across the city to regulate movement and prevent congestion. To tackle illegal parking and keep roads clear, authorities will deploy 20 forklifts and four breakdown vehicles.
According to the police, cricket fans will be able to park their vehicles in designated areas, including spots near Government College, Liberty, CBD near Centre Point, and LDA Plaza.
Officials have confirmed that no roads will be permanently closed during the series. However, brief traffic disruptions may occur when teams are on the move, but roads will be reopened as soon as they pass.
Major routes such as Mall Road, Jail Road, Canal Road, and Ferozepur Road will remain accessible throughout the event.
The Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) has advised residents to avoid restricted parking zones and use designated areas to prevent congestion. Commuters can stay updated on traffic conditions through the Rasta app and Rasta FM 88.6.
Authorities have assured that if motorists follow the guidelines, they will experience minimal inconvenience during the series.
