Suzuki and Sazgar Engineering Record Massive Increase in Year-Over-Year Sales

Pakistan’s auto industry recorded a significant boost in January 2025, with car sales reaching 17,010 units, reflecting a 61% year-over-year (YoY) increase and a 73% month-over-month (MoM) rise, according to the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA).

The MoM increase is attributed to the low base effect, as December sales are typically lower due to buyers delaying purchases for new-year registrations. Additionally, the YoY rise is driven by lower interest rates, improved consumer confidence, and the introduction of new car models and variants.

The total car sales for the first seven months of FY25 (7MFY25) now stand at 77,686 units, marking a 55% YoY increase from 49,989 units in 7MFY24.
