Karachi Airport to Remain Closed for One Hour During Champions Trophy Opening Ceremony

Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport will be temporarily closed for one hour on February 19 due to a scheduled flypast marking the start of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, 24NewsHD TV reported on Tuesday.

During this time, no flights will be allowed to land or take off between 1:30 PM and 2:30 PM.

Flight Schedule Adjustments

According to sources, minor changes in flight schedules between Karachi and Lahore are expected. The affected flights include:

• AirSial’s Lahore to Karachi flight (PF-144)
• Fly Jinnah’s Lahore to Karachi flight (9P-843)
• Airblue’s Karachi to Lahore flight (PA-402)

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has officially informed both national and international airlines about this temporary closure through a notice to airmen (NOTAM).

Passengers traveling to and from Karachi and Lahore are advised to check with their respective airlines for updated schedules.
