For scheduled maintenance, the German Consulate General in Karachi will be closed from February 19 to 21. During this time, all visa services, including passport collection and new applications, will not be available, as announced in a Facebook post by the consulate.
Officials expressed regret for any inconvenience this closure may cause to the public.
Last year, the consulate suspended its services for non-European Union citizens without specifying why. However, previously issued visas for non-EU citizens were still permitted for pickup.
Germany remains a popular choice for international students, including those from Pakistan.
