In a significant step toward enhancing Pakistan’s digital infrastructure, HG Telecommunication and One Network have signed an agreement for Dark Fiber on IRU Leasing. This partnership aims to extend One Network’s dark fiber connectivity to HG Telecommunication along key national highways and motorways, enabling data connectivity in previously underserved areas of the country.
The agreement signing ceremony took place at the Nine Tree Luxury Hotel & Suites in Lahore. Representing their respective organizations, Muhammad Usman H., CEO of HG Telecom, and Naveed Chattha, CBO of One Network, formalized the collaboration, marking a milestone in the country’s telecommunications landscape.
Through this partnership, HG Telecommunication will leverage the extended dark fiber network to enhance its service offerings, improving connectivity in remote regions and supporting digital transformation across Pakistan. The initiative aligns with the broader goal of bridging the digital divide and ensuring that more regions have access to high-speed internet and advanced telecom services.
The signing ceremony was attended by key executives from both organizations. Representing HG Telecom were Shahryar Haider Naqvi (Director Sales & Strategy), Shahid Khan (Director Finance), Khurrum Riaz (Director Technical), Faisal Aslam (Director LDI Operations), and Mian Rizwan (GM Carrier & Corporate Sales). From One Network, the event was graced by Muhammad Iqbal (GM Infrastructure Sales), Col. (R) Imran Haider (GM Zone), and Aftab Hussain (Manager Business Development).
