Islamabad to Buy 8,000 Chromebooks for Schools

The Federal Ministry of Education has taken a major step towards equipping government educational institutions in Islamabad with Chromebooks by awarding a contract for the supply of 8,000 devices through an online bidding process.

According to Express News, online tenders were opened at the National Book Foundation, with company representatives attending the event to bid for the Chromebook supply contract.

During the process, committee members reviewed both online and physical tender documents. A total of 11 companies submitted bids, out of which 10 qualified for the financial tender round. The contract was awarded to the company that placed the lowest bid.

Committee member Talat Saeed stated that the Chromebooks would be delivered to educational institutions within two months. He also emphasized that strict measures would be enforced to ensure the selected company provides high-quality Chromebooks.
