Govt Submits Green Pakistan Initiative Report to IMF

The federal government has submitted the Green Pakistan Initiative report to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Planning Commission sources informed ProPakistani.

The report highlights climate change projects and was prepared following the IMF’s demand to include the progress report in the review agenda.

The Finance Ministry had directed the Planning Commission to compile the report, which was included in the Fund’s requirements, sources added.

During the meeting, discussions also covered the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) expenditures and budgetary cuts for the current fiscal year. Officials from both ministries provided an initial briefing, while regular negotiations with the IMF delegation will start later today.

The schedule indicates that the Finance Ministry and other relevant ministries will engage in further meetings with the IMF in the coming days.
