Latest ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifier Points Table After Bangladesh Demolish Thailand

Bangladesh Women produced a clinical performance to register a thumping 178-run win over Thailand Women in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier 2025, cementing their position at the top of the points table.

After being put into bat, Bangladesh posted a commanding total of 271 for 3 in their 50 overs, powered by a record-breaking partnership between Nigar Sultana and Sharmin Akhter. The duo stitched together a 152-run stand that left Thailand with no answers.

Nigar Sultana’s breathtaking knock of 101 off just 80 deliveries turned the game decisively in Bangladesh’s favor, while Sharmin Akhter also played a vital hand, remaining unbeaten on 94 from 126 balls. Their aggressive yet calculated batting ensured Bangladesh finished with a massive score on the board.

Chasing an improbable target, Thailand’s batting never got going. Fahima Khatun wreaked havoc with the ball, picking up 5 for 21 in her spell, while Jannatul Ferdus claimed 5 for 7 as Thailand was bundled out for just 93 in 28.5 overs.

The win is not only a statement of intent from the nation but also puts them atop the Women’s World Cup Qualifier standings ahead of hosts Pakistan and Scotland.
