UAE National Airline Announces Direct Flights to Another Pakistani City

Etihad Airways is set to expand its network in South Asia with the launch of direct flights to Peshawar, Pakistan, beginning September 29, 2025. The new service will connect Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport with Peshawar’s Bacha Khan International Airport.

With the addition of this route, Peshawar becomes the fourth destination in Pakistan served by the UAE’s national airline, joining Karachi, Islamabad, and Lahore.

The service will initially operate five times per week, with plans to increase to daily flights starting November 22, 2025. Etihad will operate the route using its Airbus A320 aircraft, featuring 150 seats and 150 in Economy.

“We are excited to further strengthen our presence in Pakistan with the introduction of this new route between Abu Dhabi and Peshawar,” said Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways. “This launch underscores our commitment to enhancing connectivity between Pakistan and key destinations across the Gulf, Africa, Europe, and North America.”

Neves also announced an increase in service to Karachi, with flights rising to 17 per week starting October 1.

The new Peshawar route follows Etihad’s recent entry into Addis Ababa and marks the airline’s 16th new destination in 2025. Other recently announced routes include Prague, Warsaw, Algiers, Tunis, and Atlanta.

As part of its broader expansion strategy, Etihad is also boosting flight frequencies to several major European cities, including Paris, Milan, Manchester, Frankfurt, Zurich, and Madrid.
