Examination papers for subjects including Islamiyat, physics, economics, and biology have been leaked in multiple cities across Sindh. The physics paper for the 10th class was reportedly shared on WhatsApp just before the examination began in Larkana on Friday. Similar incidents have been reported in Khairpur, Nawabshah, and Kandiaro.
The district administration has faced criticism for its inaction regarding these leaks. In Khairpur, the Islamiyat paper was also leaked on a WhatsApp group prior to the start of the exam. Meanwhile, in Kandiaro, the biology paper for the 10th class was compromised during the annual examinations conducted by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Shaheed Benazirabad.
Reports from Naushero Feroze indicated that students were openly using mobile phones in examination halls, accessing answers through WhatsApp. In Nawabshah, Sindh, three papers—Biology, Computer Science, and Economics—were leaked and circulated on WhatsApp groups.
Sources revealed that a cheating syndicate, referred to as the “bootie mafia,” charged students Rs1,000 each for access to the leaked papers. Students were seen using their phones without fear, undermining the integrity of the examination process.
Despite the imposition of Section 144, which restricts gatherings, a significant number of unauthorized individuals were observed outside examination halls. Raiding teams that were supposed to monitor and control cheating were reportedly inactive, remaining in their offices while the situation escalated.
