Google has launched a limited-time offer giving students one full year of its premium AI-powered plan for free. The Google One AI Premium subscription, normally priced at $20 per month, includes access to Gemini Advanced, Gemini Live, and AI-enhanced tools within Google Workspace, such as Docs and Slides. It also comes with 2 TB of cloud storage, a major plus for students handling large volumes of academic files and media.
To claim this offer, students must be at least 18 years old and register with a verified “.edu” email address before June 30, 2025. Once enrolled, the subscription will remain active until July 2026. Students will need to reverify their academic status next year to maintain access. The signup process is straightforward, and the platform offers significant value, especially for digital collaboration and AI-assisted research.
Unfortunately, this offer isn’t currently available to most Pakistani students. The requirement for an “.edu” email domain excludes institutions using “.edu.pk” or localized domain formats. Unless Google increases eligibility or allows alternate verification methods, the majority of students in Pakistan won’t be able to benefit from the plan.
But there’s still a way.
Pakistani students enrolled at international universities, especially in the US, who possess “.edu” email address, can still claim the offer. For them, it’s a chance to use powerful AI tools for free and potentially lighten their academic workload.
