Quaid-i-Azam University Waives HEC USAT Requirement for BS Admissions

Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) has waived the requirement to appear in the Higher Education Commission’s (HEC) Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT) for students seeking admission to its BS programs during the current admission cycle.

In an official announcement, the university said all prospective applicants can now apply for BS admissions regardless of whether they have taken the HEC USAT. The university also clarified that candidates who appeared in the USAT, irrespective of whether they qualified, remain eligible to apply for admission.

QAU said the waiver applies only to the USAT requirement for the current admission cycle. However, the university emphasized that all other eligibility conditions and admission criteria will remain unchanged.

Applicants must continue to meet the requirements outlined in the Quaid-i-Azam University Admission Policy as well as the specific eligibility criteria for their chosen academic programs.

The announcement is expected to provide greater flexibility for students who were unable to appear in the HEC USAT while ensuring that admissions continue under the university’s existing academic standards and programme-specific requirements.
