The Lahore Police have decided to include 1,000 newly recruited constables in the Dolphin Squad as part of its organizational restructuring.
Until now, only officers specifically hired for the Dolphin unit were deployed in the squad. However, several members are no longer able to ride motorcycles due to medical conditions or accidents, creating a gap in operational capacity.
Following the instructions of the DIG Operations, the selection process for these new recruits has been completed at the Training Center. Officials say that once training is complete, the selected officers will be fully integrated into the squad.
The move is aimed at boosting the squad’s efficiency and maintaining its reputation as a rapid-response force for urban policing.
