Fraud in parking fees will no longer be tolerated, as the Lahore Parking Company is introducing “traceable” parking tickets. The new slips will include a QR code, serial number, location, worker’s name, and worker’s ID.
To address citizens’ complaints, the tickets will also have the LePark email, toll-free number, and WhatsApp contact listed. Blue-coloured slips will be issued for motorcycles, while green-coloured slips will be used for cars.
A three-member committee, comprising CFO Muhammad Sherdil, Operations Manager Faizan-ul-Haq, and Planning Manager Salman Latif, has prepared the recommendations. After approval from the CEO of Lahore Parking Company, the new tickets will be introduced in the first week of May.
