Philippines is Offering Year-Long Digital Nomad Visa to Remote Foreign Workers

The Philippines has introduced a new Digital Nomad Visa, allowing remote workers from around the world to live and work in the country for up to one year.

This move aims to attract foreign professionals who can work online while enjoying the Philippines’ beautiful beaches, lively cities, and rich culture.

To qualify, applicants must be at least 18 years old, have proof of remote work with income from outside the Philippines, show a stable income, have no criminal record, and hold valid health insurance. They must also be from countries that offer similar digital nomad privileges to Filipinos and must not seek local employment.

The Digital Nomad Visa is part of the country’s efforts to boost tourism and tap into the growing trend of remote work. The Philippines is now joining other countries like Portugal and Dubai in welcoming digital nomads.

The country also offers other visa options, including retiree, student, and work visas, making it accessible for different types of visitors.
