Pakistani Modder Upgrades Old Car to Rs. 6 Crore Range Rover for Just Rs. 500,000

A striking transformation in Pakistan’s car customization scene is gaining momentum. Recently, a 2010 Range Rover underwent a complete visual overhaul, making it look nearly identical to the 2020 model, all for under PKR 500,000. As a result, the SUV’s market value jumped from PKR 1 crore to almost PKR 6 crores, turning it into a smart investment for its owner.

To pull off the facelift, the team used a calculated mix of imported parts. Around 75% of the components came from China, while the remaining 25% were sourced from Japan. These included a redesigned front grille, sleeker bumper, modern headlights, updated side fenders, LED taillights, a rear spoiler, and new alloy rims. Together, these changes gave the SUV a fresh, 2020-ready look without replacing its core mechanicals.

Although the team didn’t modify the interior features, they carried out a complete cosmetic detailing job. More importantly, they preserved crucial functionalities, especially the height control system, a key element in luxury SUVs like the Land Cruiser. This ensured the upgrade retained both visual appeal and performance reliability.

Malik Faizan Ali, a seasoned car modification expert from AutoChannel1, led the project. Since 2005, he has upgraded high-end vehicles like the Toyota Prado and Land Cruiser, consistently offering high-quality results at lower prices. His experience allowed him to execute the facelift efficiently and cost-effectively, making premium conversions more accessible.

Rising Interest Amid Soaring Import Prices

As imported luxury vehicle prices soar with the Toyota LC300 now selling for as much as PKR 14 crores — more car owners in Pakistan are opting for local facelifts. These conversions allow them to enjoy the aesthetics of newer models without facing astronomical price tags.

To maintain transparency, the team documented each stage of the modification from the initial inspection and dismantling to denting, painting, and final detailing.

Pakistan’s car culture is evolving. With rising demand for budget-friendly upgrades and skilled professionals stepping in, enthusiasts now have real alternatives to expensive imports, and this Range Rover project proves it.
