Punjab Begins Distribution of Free Laptops

The wait is over for public sector students as the Punjab government is set to begin distributing laptops under the CM Punjab Laptop Scheme 2025. Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat announced that the distribution will officially begin today (Wednesday) in Lahore.

The inauguration ceremony will be held at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore, where Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is expected to distribute laptops to students. According to the minister, 21,000 students will receive laptops in today’s event.

Rana Sikandar Hayat also confirmed that distribution ceremonies will be organised across all divisions of Punjab. A total of 110,000 laptops will be handed out to students enrolled in public universities and colleges across the province.

He said the PML-N has once again fulfilled its promise. “Unlike others, we don’t offer false hopes. We deliver—and this scheme proves that,” he stated.

The scheme has been widely appreciated by students and parents, who say such initiatives will empower youth and promote digital access in education.
