The Punjab government has announced plans to construct multiple parking plazas across Lahore in an effort to resolve the city’s growing parking issues.
Taking notice of the severe shortage of parking spaces in the provincial capital, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif chaired a special meeting on Saturday to address the problem. She directed officials to take immediate steps to begin construction in areas facing the worst congestion.
During the briefing, it was revealed that planning work has already been carried out for the construction of parking plazas at 13 key locations across the city. The Chief Minister also ordered a re-evaluation of all these identified sites to ensure their suitability and effectiveness.
