Authorities have temporarily closed the highway from Satra Meel Toll Plaza to Bansara Gali due to ongoing road repair and carpeting work, according to a statement issued by Murree Traffic Police on Monday.
A spokesperson said that the Highway Department is currently working on the stretch between Chhatar and Salgran, leading to a full closure of the road for all types of traffic.
In light of the closure, travelers heading to Murree from Islamabad and Rawalpindi have been urged to use the Murree Expressway instead.
Officials emphasized that the move is aimed at ensuring both the safety of commuters and the timely completion of repair work.
Travelers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly to avoid delays.
