Eight Pakistani citizens have been martyred and 35 others injured following an Indian attack, the Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) confirmed during a late-night press conference.
According to the military spokesperson, the attack targeted civilian areas, resulting in heavy casualties. “This unprovoked aggression by India has claimed innocent lives and injured dozens. Pakistan reserves the right to respond decisively,” he said.
In a strong retaliatory move, the Pakistan Air Force reportedly shot down five Indian fighter jets.
The DG ISPR emphasized that Pakistan’s armed forces are fully prepared to defend the country and respond to any future provocations.
Tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors have surged in recent days, and regional observers are closely watching the developments for signs of further escalation.
