In a swift retaliatory move, the Pakistani military has shot down five Indian fighter jets after India launched late-night airstrikes targeting six locations, including areas in Punjab’s Sialkot and Bahawalpur regions, as well as Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Following the escalation, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed the aerial strikes, stating that the Indian military conducted the attacks while remaining within its airspace. A military spokesperson issued an updated statement on the situation, confirming that 26 civilians had lost their lives as a result of the strikes.
