The IMF Executive Board will meet today to approve Pakistan’s First Review under the $7 billion Extended Fund Facility (EFF) and a new $1.3 billion Resilience and Sustainability Facility (RSF).

Upon approval, Pakistan will immediately receive $1 billion (SDR 760 million) under the EFF, bringing total disbursements to $2 billion. Also, Pakistan will have access to additional $1.3 billion over 28 months for climate-related initiatives.

The review follows a mission led by Nathan Porter from February 24 to March 14, 2025, in Karachi and Islamabad.
