Govt to Financially Compensate Victims of Indian Attack on Civilians in Azad Kashmir

The Prime Minister’s Office has urgently sought a comprehensive report detailing the damages and civilian impact caused by Indian provocations across Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and bordering provinces, official sources told ProPakistani.

Sources said the federal government plans on financially compensating victims of the Indian attack on civilians in AJK once the report is compiled and reviewed.

The request includes full statistics on the extent of property damage, the number of civilians affected, and details of those martyred or injured as a result of cross-border Indian shelling and aggression. Sources said that federal authorities have asked local administrations to submit these figures without delay.

The Prime Minister’s Office emphasized that the data will be used to assess the scale of the humanitarian crisis and to determine the allocation of financial compensation for the victims.

This development comes after tensions along the Line of Control where repeated ceasefire violations by the Indian military have resulted in significant distress to the civilian population in regions along the border, particularly in AJK.
