SBP Announces Bank Holiday on May 28

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) announced that it will remain closed on Wednesday, 28 May 2025, on account of Youm-e-Takbeer.

“The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on May 28, 2025 (Wednesday) being public holiday on the occasion of “Youm-e-Takbeer”, as declared by the Government of Pakistan,” SBP said in a notice on Friday.

Commercial banks will also remain closed on the occasion.

Besides SBP, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) announced a few days ago that it will remain closed on May 28 due to the reasons shared above.
