Private Airline Escapes Second Major Disaster Within a Week

A Fly Jinnah flight traveling from Karachi to Lahore narrowly avoided a serious accident on Saturday after being caught in a severe storm during its final approach to Allama Iqbal International Airport.

Flight FL-842 encountered intense mid-air turbulence and highly unstable landing conditions, forcing the pilot to initiate a go-around.

This marks the second such incident involving Fly Jinnah within just eight days.

Last Sunday, another Fly Jinnah aircraft faced extreme weather while attempting to land in Quetta.

According to Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat, the plane made four landing attempts in the middle of a severe dust storm and high winds, all while struggling with critically low fuel levels. The pilot eventually landed the aircraft safely, narrowly avoiding disaster.

  • “all while struggling with critically low fuel levels.”
Why the fuel level was low? All planes should have reserve to reach nearest alternative airport. Seems criminal negligence.
