FBR Seizes Rs. 80 Million Directly From Kababjees’ Accounts Without Any Warning

MNA Ikhtiar Baig on Thursday informed the National Assembly Standing Committee on Finance and Revenue that FBR has recovered more than Rs. 80 million from the accounts of the Kababjees restaurant without giving any chance of hearing in different forums.

The business community is pressing me for this harassment by the FBR, Baig added.

Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Rashid Langrial assured the committee that he will inquire into the matter of recovering more than Rs. 80 million from Kababjees restaurant in Karachi.

Member of the committee Mirza Ikhtiar Baig raised the matter before the finance committee, which was chaired by Nafeesa Shah.

The committee chairman did not have knowledge of this particular case. The chairman assured to update the committee after inquiring about the matter from the relevant field office of FBR.

ProPakistani has reached out to Kababjees for a comment which will be added accordingly.

  • This is Gunda Gardi by FBR, whatever is the reason or causes, Kababjees has to be given a chance or warning or be called for hearing but it should not be like this that FBR trespass or get into anyone’s bank accounts. What the State Bank is doing is this the liberty or “Badmashi” which SBP is also conniving.

  • illegal use of power… they are shortly gonna run the good businesses out of pakistan in a short period of time and then gonna cry about begging more money from IMF…
