Five Weather Systems to Cause Strong Winds, Hailstorms and Heavy Rains Across Pakistan

The National Emergencies Operations Centre (NEOC) has issued a warning about five incoming weather systems expected to bring thunderstorms, heavy rain, strong winds, and hail to several parts of Pakistan. Islamabad and Rawalpindi are forecast to experience particularly severe conditions.

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has directed all provincial and district authorities to stay on high alert, coordinate closely with local emergency teams, and ensure readiness to respond swiftly. The NDMA is actively monitoring the situation and will provide regular updates.

A public advisory has also been released, urging citizens to avoid unnecessary travel, especially in hilly and flood-prone areas. Residents are advised to secure trees, power lines, solar panels, and park vehicles in safe places.

Farmers are warned to take steps to protect crops from damage due to hail and strong winds. Tourists and travelers should be especially careful during outdoor activities in mountainous regions.

Significant weather activity is expected across parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, North Punjab, and southeastern Punjab. In Southern Punjab, light to moderate rain is spreading from the Rohi region toward Rahim Yar Khan, Sadiqabad, and Minthar.

Meanwhile, an active weather system in KP is affecting areas from Peshawar to Parachinar. Azad Jammu and Kashmir is also facing storm conditions, particularly in Muzaffarabad and Neelum Valley.
