The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has introduced a digital licensing platform for registering medical and dental colleges in Punjab.
With the implementation of this online system, medical professionals in Punjab no longer need to travel to Islamabad, as all registration-related services are now accessible through the PMDC office in Lahore.
PMDC President Dr. Rizwan Taj described the initiative as a landmark development, stating that the new portal will offer comprehensive support to applicants. Practitioners will also receive their original certificates via courier, ensuring greater convenience.
Dr. Taj also shared that the digital registration system will be rolled out nationwide in stages. The second phase will launch in Peshawar and Karachi, followed by the third phase in Jamshoro and Balochistan. Multan has been designated for the fourth phase of the rollout.
